SOUTH AFRICAN SINGER GOING THROUGH A DIFFICULT TIME.
Singer Lira hospitalized after suffering a stroke in Germany.
Lerato "Lira" Molapo (44) who is a well-known and afro-pop musician has suffered a stroke. She is a multi-platinum selling and an 11 time South African Music Award-winning Afro-Soul Vocalist referring her music as "a fusion of soul, funk, elements of jazz and African. The musician also joined forces with explorer and humanitarian Kinsley Holgate together with a rugby player Bryan Habana in order to deliver food packages to those who are struggling in South Africa. They also delivered food parcels to the children who are in Thembisa based in Johannesburg.
A feel good singer recently travelled to Germany for performance, but unfortunately suffered a stroke while she was there. The stroke affected her ability to communicate and her speech has been impacted. Lira left Germany and travelled back into South Africa undergoing a treatment associated with the best medical team so that she can be able to recover.
Her medical team revealed that a singer will not be able to perform because the stroke affected her in a bad way. Lira's journey requires a lot of patience so that she can be able to recover. She needs to be surrounded by those who are close to her through the journey of recovery. Since Lira is famous singer, her fans are expected to be sensitive during this difficult time that she is going through.
According to one of her close friend, since Lira left Germany, she has been in good hands and recovering well. She also mentioned that it is not necessary to reveal each and every information about Lira's health because she also need to have space during her time of recovery. Lira will not be able to perform, therefore all her events were cancelled. Her family is asking for everyone to keep Lira in prayers.
